I thought I would add a post since it has been a long time since we last posted. It seems as if our life has gotten 100 times busier than before we had kids. Both boys are growing and changing daily. They have both grown a lot since coming home. Jacob is up to 24 or 25 pounds and has finally made it onto the growth charts. Austin has gained a couple of pounds but is pretty much holding steady. Austin is learning English and has more words than we can count. He still uses a mixture of English and Russian but seems to be using more Engligh. He is having a little bit of speech difficulties we think and we have had him evaluated to see if he might need speech therapy. Jacob is starting to talk as well. His first words so far are "mama and dada (which he uses for a lot of things including us)," "hi", "baby", "bad boy" (which his brother so graciously taught him), "uh oh","bye", "pewey" (which he says when we change his diapers), "boo boo", and "light" (we think that is what he is saying). Jacob started walking about a month ago and finally seems to be getting pretty steady (he almost always chooses walking over crawling). They both seem to be staying fairly healthy these days....knock on wood :). They have now met all of our family and lots of our friends, although they still haven't been to Greensboro to meet eveyrone there. That trip will happen next week.
Austin has his last week of swim lessons this week and has loved every minute of it. He will be starting preschool in the fall if all goes as planned. I have included a couple of recent pictures as the boys have changed tremendously since our last posting. Hope everyone is doing well!
