Where have the last 3 months gone????
As is quite obvious, I have been a bit negligent in posting over the past few months. The past few months have been a whirlwind. First, we spent Thanksgiving in NC with my family. We got to celebrate Austin's 5th birthday at a bounce place. Everyone had a blast and it was great to be together with family. Shortly after returning from our trip to NC John received two job offers in Greensboro. Needless to say, we were very surprised but excited and John accepted one of the offers. We spent most of December planning our move and working out all the logistics of moving cross country with two children and a dog. The boys had their first attempt at skiing at Winter Park. Austin seemed to enjoy it but Jacob wasn't such a big fan. Then we spent several days at Christmas at John's parents' cabin near Grand Lake. The boys had a blast sledding and spending time with Nana & Papa and their aunts and uncles.
On January 9, we left Denver for the 3 day car ride to Greensboro. It was much harder to leave than we thought as we both have wonderful, lifetime friends in Denver and will miss John's family as well. The car ride went quite smoothly and we arrived in Greensboro on the 11th. Shortly after arriving in NC, we received a written offer on our house in Denver after only being on the market 3 days.....GOD IS GOOD! We have found a house here we like and will close on it at the end of February, right after we close on our house in Denver. John is getting settled into his new job here. It is big switch for him since he has worked at the same place since graduating from college. The kids are loving being near (well, actually living with, at present) Grammy & Granddad and of course, my parents love having them here despite Jacob flushing the Batman figurine down the toilet and various other exciting events.
